Rodney Hood Re-Nominated to Serve on NCUA Board
President Donald Trump nominated former NCUA board member Rodney Hood Wednesday to fill the board seat currently held by board member Rick Metsger. Hood was nominated in the last Congress but not confirmed, and previously served as vice chair of the NCUA board under President George W. Bush

“CUNA and the Leagues congratulate Rodney Hood on his re-nomination by President Trump to the NCUA Board,” said CUNA Chief Advocacy Officer Ryan Donovan. “We look forward to working with Mr. Hood once again. He was approachable to stakeholders and demonstrated a thorough understanding of credit unions and the importance of commonsense regulation in his previous terms on the board.”

Hood was appointed vice chairman of NCUA in 2005 by Bush, and served on the board from October 2005 to August 2010. His nomination is for a term ending in August 2023, and would still leave one vacant seat on the board, as former board Chair Debbie Matz’s seat has not been filled.

Hood currently serves as corporate responsibility manager at JPMorgan Chase, where he manages national partnerships with organizations that foster sustainable homeownership; provide financial capability and economic inclusion; and provide access to capital in underserved communities — including low-to-moderate income, minority and disabled.
