| NAFCU's Bruyere Updates Credit Unions on Litigation Trends |

NAFCU Vice President of Regulatory Compliance Brandy Bruyere has a new post on NAFCU's member-only Compliance, Risk, and BSA Network detailing new developments in litigation that could impact credit unions.
NAFCU's Compliance Team monitors the litigation landscape for lawsuits targeting credit unions or challenging issues that could impact the industry's operations.
In the new network post, Bruyere provides updates on:
• the interchange lawsuit brought by retailers' associations in North Dakota against the Federal Reserve;
• the recent appeals court decision that determined websites are not subject to the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA);
• a multidistrict lawsuit brought against Sonic for its data breach;
• challenges to the Department of Housing and Urban Development's disparate impact rule;
• a lawsuit brought against Capital One related to adverse action notice requirements under the Equal Credit Opportunity Act and Regulation B;
• the Supreme Court's decision to uphold a narrow interpretation of the definition of an "autodialer";
• a complaint from several states challenging the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency's true lender rule;
• a lawsuit brought against Bank of America related to prepaid debit cards and cybersecurity; and
• overdraft litigation.
