| CUNA Leaders Meet with NCUA Chairman Harper |

CUNA President/CEO Jim Nussle, EVP/Chief Advocacy Officer Robert Lewis, and Deputy Chief Advocacy Officer for Federal Government Affairs Jason Stverak met with NCUA Chairman Todd Harper Thursday to discuss credit union priorities.
“We thank Chairman Harper for his time as we work with NCUA on issues facing credit unions in a challenging economic environment,” Nussle said.
The discussion included credit unions’ future role in the digital assets space and the importance of the Central Liquidity Facility to credit unions, particularly smaller ones.
CUNA has recently engaged NCUA on installing a floating federal credit union interest rate cap. The NCUA Board asked agency staff at its January board meeting to explore the legality of a floating cap.
