This Week: House Voting on NDAA, Financial Services Markup
The Senate is in recess this week for the Fourth of July, while the House continues their session until Thursday. The House is expected to take up the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) before the holiday.

America’s Credit Unions is engaging with administration officials and lawmakers on the 21st Century ROAD to Housing Act. The bill passed both chambers last week with credit union-sought provisions, including the Credit Union Board Modernization Act (CUBMA).

Tomorrow, Office of Management and Budget Director Russ Vought will testify before the House Committee on Appropriations’ Subcommittee on Financial Services and General Government Appropriations.

The House Financial Services Committee has a markup scheduled tomorrow, featuring bills related to fair credit reporting, credit access, payments fraud, and more.

Colorado voters also head to the polls tomorrow for the state primary, with America’s Credit Unions PAC backing eight candidates.

On Wednesday, the House Small Business Committee will conduct a hearing looking at the legacy of small businesses and achieving the American Dream amid the 250th anniversary of the U.S.

The Supreme Court continues to release decisions on outstanding cases. America’s Credit Unions is monitoring for a decision in the Trump v. Slaughter lawsuit, which is expected to impact the challenge of removing board members at the NCUA.
