| This Week: Senate in Town; House in Recess |
|
The Senate remains in Washington, while the House remains back home. There’s potential for a Senate vote this week on House-passed legislation addressing the end of penny production. In a letter sent to Senate leaders last week, America’s Credit Unions urged lawmakers to clear the bill and send it to the president’s desk.
Also happening this week:
• Wednesday, the Senate Small Business Committee will hold a hearing to provide oversight of the Small Business Administration;
• Also on Wednesday, the Federal Communications Commission will hold an open meeting. They will vote on an America’s Credit Unions-supported further notice of proposed rulemaking related to the commission’s “revoke all” rule; and
• Thursday, the Senate Banking Committee will hold a hearing to consider the nominations at the Department of Housing and Urban Development, the Treasury Department, and the Export-Import Bank of the United States.
