| New resource: Commercial Lending Guide now available |
|
A new resource available to America’s Credit Unions members provides an overview of what credit unions need to know if involved in commercial lending. The Commercial Lending Guide is available in the Compliance Library.
NCUA has multiple regulations for federally insured credit unions that impose principles-based requirements, including a written commercial lending policy to ensure the safety and soundness of a credit union’s commercial lending activities.
The guide examines the history and current state of commercial lending, key definitions, and a detailed explanation of safe and sound commercial lending. It also includes graphics, a flowchart, and a checklist to assist credit unions in understanding and navigating the requirements.
The Compliance Library also contains a compliance calendar, the Compliance 101 series, and detailed examinations into specific topics (digital assets, H.R. 1, artificial intelligence), and more.
